Danny Gilboa - thinking about happiness

Recently I’m spending some time with a friend in Tel Aviv. He introduced me to Danny Gilboa who recently put out a really nice video. It’s always nice to see an artist who does what he does first of all, just because he simply has to.

In Danny’s case we’re talking about a man on the edge of turning 40, lovin’ father of three daughters with a full time job who never actually released a proper album. All his songs, poems or short stories are made public via Facebook and thanks to social media his fanbase has grown to pretty impressive figures. An interesting fact, if you keep in mind that the singer/songwriter and his main audience don’t exactly belong to the so-called internet generation in terms of age.

“The Day Happines Will Come-ביום שהאושר יגיע ” is a melancholy but yet optimistic song to sing and think along. As I was told it’s rather twisted lyrics deal with the fear of missing the moment to realize that you are in fact happy. The single is Danny’s first attempt to get radio airplay and take his carreer as an artist to the next level.
