This Frontier Needs Heroes - Neo Folk from old times

This Frontier Needs Heroes is a family band. Jessica Lauretti and her brother Brad are living in the lively neighbourhoods of Brooklyn and their music seems to be a vanishing point in post-modern hectic. You could call it Neo-Country or Weird Folk. There is a slightly psychedelic vibe on some of there songs, but mainly their music ssems to be influenced by old times field recordings and traditional Amerciana. Background voices are whispering or flying around like shadows of ancient times while the guitar weeps and oscillates in a sound that’s rough and soft at the same time. In other moments the instrumentation features nothing more but an acoustic guitar and pure passionate singing.
