Dark stories and personal demons inhabit the world of Mirel Wagner’s songs. The 23 year old singer/songwriter from Espoo in Finland recently signed with the indie label Bone Voyage and is ready to be heard. Her rough voice, that seems to have lived for ages combined with a minimalistic acoustic guitar picking create a special melancholy. Imagine a young, female Nick Cave sitting at a camp fire perfoming songs by Leonard Cohen or Nick Drake. Goose bumps guaranteed.

For now you’d have to go to Finland to see her live, but in September Mirel will travel to Germany for two exclusive shows. here are the dates:
